오버랩은 수명이 다한 소재와 그 소재를 사용했던 레저스포츠인들의 이야기에서 진짜 새로움을 발견하는 브랜드입니다.
경쟁과 순위보다는 경험과 온전한 즐거움을 추구하는 레저스포츠의 본질 속에는 나만의 속도를 찾는 방법과 달라진 시선으로 주변을 새롭게 바라보는 방식이 녹아 있습니다. 오버랩이 생각하는 ‘진짜 새로움’은 갑자기 만들어지는 것이 아니라, 이처럼 익숙했던 일상을 나만의 경험으로 바라볼 때 비로소 발견되는 것입니다. 그리고 이 진짜 새로움을 통해 우리는, 내 안의 자유로움을 만끽할 수 있습니다.
OverLab uncovers real newness in outdoor equipment materials beyond their lifespans and in the stories of those who have used them.
The nature of outdoor activities, which prioritizes experience and joy over competition and ranking, entails finding our own pace and embracing the novelty of each moment with a fresh perspective. OverLab believes that "real newness" is not crafted out of nowhere, but rather unfolds when we can truly see familiar daily life through our own lens. Through this real newness, we are able to indulge in the freedom within us.
오버랩은 수명이 다한 레저스포츠 소재를 업사이클링하는 패션 브랜드입니다. 일정 시간이 지나 안전상의 이유로 폐기되었으나 실제 사용에 문제없는 패러글라이더_Another High, 글램핑 텐트_Another Mountain, 요트 돛_Another Wave, 다이빙 슈트_Another Dive 등을 수거, 해체, 세탁 후 재단, 봉제와 같은 일련의 과정을 거쳐 새로운 제품으로 탄생시킵니다.
오버랩의 업사이클링은 소비자, 공급자, 제작자가 함께하는 선순환 구조를 만들고, 자연 속에서 즐기는 레저스포츠가 환경을 파괴하는 아이러니를 해결하는 새로운 방안을 제시합니다.
We are a fashion brand that upcycles various outdoor equipment materials beyond their lifespans.
We collect, disassemble, wash, tailor, and sew paragliders_Another High, glamping tents_Another Mountain, yacht sails_Another Wave, and dive suits_Another Dive that are discarded due to safety reasons but remain perfectly functional. Through this process, we recreate them into new products.
Our upcycling initiative establishes a sustainable loop in which all consumers, suppliers, and providers can participate. This approach offers a solution to the paradox of environmental destruction resulting from outdoor activities that rely on nature.
